heroes season1.

Recently, I've done a research on ..

THE ULTIMATE DESTINY IS NOTHING LESS THAN SAVING THE WORLD.

From creator/writer Tim Kring (NBC's "Crossing Jordan") comes "Heroes," an epic drama that chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities.

As a total eclipse casts its shadow across the globe, a genetics professor (Sendhil Ramamurthy, "Blind Guy Driving") in India is led by father's disappearance to uncover a secret theory -- there are people with super powers living among us. A young dreamer (Milo Ventimiglia, "Gilmore Girls") tries to convince his politician brother (Adrian Pasdar, "Judging Amy") that he can fly. A high school cheerleader (Hayden Panettiere, "Ice Princess") learns that she is totally indestructible. A Las Vegas stripper (Ali Larter, "Final Destination"), struggling to make ends meet to support her young son (Noah Gray-Cabey, "My Wife & Kids"), discovers that her mirror image has a secret. A fugitive from justice (Leonard Roberts, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") continues to baffle authorities who twice have been unable to contain him. A gifted artist (Santiago Cabrera, "Empire"), whose drug addiction is destroying his life and relationship with his girlfriend (Tawny Cypress, NBC's "Third Watch"), can paint the future. A down-on-his-luck Los Angeles beat cop (Greg Grunberg, "Alias") can hear people's thoughts, which puts him on the trail of an elusive serial killer. In Japan, a young man (Masi Oka, NBC's "Scrubs") develops a way to stop time through sheer will power. Their ultimate destiny is nothing less than saving the world…

Joining Kring as executive producer are Dennis Hammer (NBC's "Crossing Jordan") and Allan Arkush (NBC's "Crossing Jordan"). David Semel ("House") executive-produced and directed the pilot. The drama is produced by NBC Universal Television Studio.

THE DIRECTOR AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS..

Allan Arkush
Executive Producer/Director

Allan Arkush -- the only director to have directed both Frank Sinatra and Joey Ramone -- is executive producer and director of "Heroes," NBC's new epic saga that chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities.

Arkush is also an executive producer of the popular NBC series "Crossing Jordan," which is heading into its sixth season. His other television production credits include "Shannon's Deal," "Central Park West," "Moon Over Miami" and "Parenthood."

Arkush has extensive experience as a director. He began directing episodic television in 1984 with the popular series "Fame." In addition to directing the pilot and several episodes of "Crossing Jordan," he has directed episodes of "L.A. Law," "St. Elsewhere," "Moonlighting," "I'll Fly Away," "Dawson's Creek," "The Practice" and "Ally McBeal." Arkush won an Emmy Award and received a Director's Guild of America Award nomination for directing the television movie "The Temptations." He also received Emmy nominations for his work on "Ally McBeal," including the dancing baby episode, and "Moonlighting."

Arkush began his career in the entertainment industry by working with famed film producer Roger Corman in the mid-1970s. He directed cult favorites such as "Hollywood Boulevard" and the Ramones' rock-music classic "Rock 'n' Roll High School," which Rolling Stone magazine named as one of the top ten rock 'n' roll DVDs of all time.

Although Arkush has an extensive career in television, his true love is music. He has directed music videos for such notable artists as Elvis Costello, Bette Midler with Mick Jagger, and Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac. In addition, Arkush directed rock-music television movies such as "Elvis Meets Nixon," "Shake, Rattle and Rock!," " XXX's & OOO's" and "Young at Heart," in which Frank Sinatra appeared making him the only director to have directed both Sinatra and Ramone. Arkush's first job in music was at the Fillmore East in New York, where he handled the psychedelic lighting for such legendary bands as The Who and The Grateful Dead.

Arkush resides in Los Angeles.

Dennis Hammer

Hammer also developed and produced all twenty of the Danielle Steel telefilms for NBC. The made-for-television franchise proved to be one of the most successful in television history.

In addition, he has been an executive producer of the popular series "Crossing Jordan" since its premiere in 2001. The hit drama is now entering its sixth season on NBC.

Hammer began his entertainment career working for Gordon Davidson at Los Angeles' award-winning Center Theatre Group.

He resides in Los Angeles.

Tim Kring

Tim Kring is creator and executive producer of "Heroes," NBC's new epic saga that chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities.

Kring studied film at nearby Allen Hancock Junior College before transferring to the University of Santa Barbara, where he earned his bachelor of arts degree in religious studies.

Kring later received a master of fine arts degree from the University of Southern California's renowned film school and worked his way up in production as a grip, gaffer and on camera crews. He continued working in production until selling his first pitch for an episode of "Knight Rider" in 1985. Kring spent the next eleven years writing feature films, including the sequel "Teen Wolf II," series pilots and television movies such as "Bay Coven" and "Falling for You."

In 1996, Kring became a producer on the popular television series "Chicago Hope" and became the supervising producer on the series a year later. In 1998, he co-created the series "Strange World" and served as co-executive producer on the drama "L.A. Doctors." Kring joined the staff of NBC's "Providence" in 1999 as co-executive producer and signed an overall deal with NBC Studio. In 2001, Kring created the procedural drama "Crossing Jordan," which celebrated its historic 100th episode milestone in March.
